Noontime Knowledge: KPIs That Matter: Using Metrics to Drive Growth, Focus, and Accountability

The right metrics can be the difference between guessing and growing. In this hands-on workshop, entrepreneurs will review the fundamentals of identifying and using key performance indicators (KPIs) that actually drive progress, not vanity metrics that distract from what matters most, along with practical ideas for automating tracking and reporting.

Beyond the basics, the session will elevate the conversation to focus on how thoughtfully designed KPIs can foster company cohesion, buy-in, and motivation around shared goals. Too often, KPIs are used as a negative tool for behavior correction or inadvertently encourage people to game the system. This workshop will explore a fresh approach by reframing KPIs as a positive force that aligns teams, clarifies priorities, and drives performance across the organization.

We will also examine how to select actionable, high-impact KPIs that inform smarter decisions about where to invest time, capital, and energy as your business grows, including how to design effective metrics for companies and roles that are harder to quantify. Founders will leave with a clearer understanding of what to track, why it matters, and how to use KPIs as a leadership tool that builds alignment, accountability, and momentum, not just a reporting exercise.

The workshop will be led by Brad Dickey, founder and CEO of Peak Behavioral Services, who brings a unique perspective to performance measurement rooted in his background as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst and his experience scaling a healthcare company across Wyoming and Idaho.
