Position: SILICON COULOIR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Silicon Couloir is hiring a full-time Executive Director to lead the organization in its mission to empower entrepreneurship in the Tetons for a health, vibrant community.

Position Overview

Silicon Couloir seeks Executive Director candidates with outstanding leadership skills, a passion for development, and a deep connection to our mission and the Teton regional community.

The Executive Director leads the organization and executes the strategic priorities of the organization as set forth by, and reporting to, the Board of Directors. The Executive Director leads the execution of programs that support entrepreneurs including education, mentoring, pitch day, networking meetups, and angel investment. In addition, the Executive Director oversees Silicon Couloir’s Cowork Space in downtown Jackson.

Position Requirements/Benefits

Compensation is market-competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position requiring in-person work. This position is eligible for all benefits offered to full-time employees of Silicon Couloir, including: PTO, healthcare care premium stipend,  SIMPLE IRA (with employer match) and any other benefits offered to full-time staff.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

The successful candidate will lead Silicon Couloir’s program and fundraising activities, as well as serve as ambassador and public face of the organization to the external community.

As program leader, the Executive Director will oversee the current staff of four dedicated to Silicon Couloir’s programs including education, mentoring, pitch day, networking meetups, and angel investment.

As lead fundraiser, the Executive Director will solicit financial support from individuals, foundations, government entities and corporations. The Executive Director will develop and strengthen relationships with Silicon Couloir’s financial supporters, employing a relationship-based approach in all development work. As well, the Executive Director will coach and oversee a staff member dedicated to fundraising.

As Silicon Couloir’s public-facing executive, the Executive Director will engage with other community organizations, including nonprofits, and Wyoming State entities, including the University of Wyoming. The Executive Director will be responsible for public relations and addressing inquiries from the press.

As administrative head, the Executive Director will be responsible for budgets, financialstatements/management, database management and reporting, as well as softwaresupporting entrepreneurial programs and Board functions
