Eligibility and Requirements for Ventures
Geographic Requirements
Primary focus: Greater Teton region (Teton County WY/ID, Northern Lincoln County WY, Pinedale WY)
Secondary consideration based on program capacity and fit: Wyoming/Idaho-based entrepreneurs without access to comparable local support
If located outside Greater Teton region, must demonstrate commitment to TEAMS and Silicon Couloir (SC) programming
Business Requirements
Demonstrates path towards scaling (hiring employees, launching a scalable product past the prototyping stage, raising money or generating revenue)
For service-based businesses with growth limited by staff capacity and billable hours, applicant must clearly demonstrate path towards scalable product
We do not accept single-person consultants without a plan to expand the team or business
Idea-stage ventures not accepted and recommended to take Start-Up Success
Eligible structures: For-profit, B-Corp, or nonprofit (10% program capacity reserved for nonprofits with potential for scalable impact. If TEAMS is at capacity, FCFS waiting list system implemented)
Industry Focus
Tourism and real estate development businesses are not eligible
Exceptions considered if applicant can demonstrate that they primarily serve the local community in other sectors
Values & Commitment
Aligns with SC’s guiding principle of "Profit. People. Planet.”
Active participation in SC ecosystem and events
Must attend one Chance Meeting before acceptance
Minimum 20 hours/week dedicated to venture
Demonstrates coachability, accountability, and venture progress
Program Requirements
First meeting is held in-person, no exceptions
Monthly meeting cadence for first 3 months
Maximum of monthly meeting cadence and minimum of quarterly meeting cadence after first three months
Mandatory agenda submissions 7 days prior to meetings
Mandatory post-meeting documentation
Mandatory quarterly metrics reporting
