TEAMS, Marketing & Events Coordinator

They will play a support role in programming, event planning, marketing, and administrative support.
The TEAMS Marketing & Events Coordinator (TMEC) is hired by, and reports directly to, the Director of Entrepreneurship (DOE) and the Ecosystem Director (ECD). The TMEC responsibilities fall into 3 categories: (1) assisting with TEAMS, (2) assisting with events, and (3) assisting with marketing.
TEAMS: The TMEC is responsible for all day-to-day aspects of running the world-class TEAMS (Teton Entrepreneurs And Mentor Services) program, which is licensed by MIT’s Venture Mentor Services program, and for helping with certain administrative tasks supporting the organization. The TMEC will assist the DOE with TEAMS strategic decisions and will help oversee how TEAMS compliments other programs and events offered by Silicon Couloir. It is estimated that 50% of the position will be allocated to TEAMS Program duties and responsibilities. The TMEC will be considered a key player on a small, collaborative staff team.
Events: The TMEC will work with the ECD on strategy, planning, and execution of Silicon Couloir events including: annual Pitch Day, monthly Chance Meetings, 5-6 Trustee Circle events, Start-Up Success, and 6 Noontime Knowledge sessions. It is estimated that 25% of the position will be allocated to events.
Marketing: The TMEC will assist the ECD with all aspects of marketing including: social media posts, website updates,general program/event marketing, marketing of The Cowork Space, and creation of Annual Reports. It is estimated that 25% of the position will be allocated to marketing.
This is a full-time, exempt position requiring some in-person and some remote work with occasional evening hours. A collaborative work ethic and flexibility in scheduling are critical elements of this role. The TMEC may work from home when not needed at events or meetings. The Silicon Couloir office is our Cowork Space, located at 140 E. Broadway, Ste. 25, Jackson, WY 83001. This position is eligible, after the probationary period, for all benefits offered to full-time employees of Silicon Couloir, including: PTO, healthcare care premium stipend, Wellness Bucks, SIMPLE IRA (with employer match) and any other benefits offered to full-time staff.
Position Responsibilities & Duties:
The TMEC has the following primary responsibilities and duties:
TEAMS:
Oversee and manage all day-to-day responsibilities of the TEAMS program. This includes but is not limited to:
Answering daily mentor / venture emails and questions
Scheduling mentor meetings efficiently and effectively
Application review, coordinating and carrying out interviews, and onboarding tasks
Coordinating and leading monthly committee meetings
Program “graduate” offboarding and exit interviews
Building new mentor teams and adjusting active teams as needed
Implementation and regular upkeep of TEAMS’ centralized platform for scheduling and notes
Regular outreach / check in’s with active entrepreneurs and mentors, and enforcement of all rules and regulations to ensure all members are meeting minimum program requirements
Coordinating monthly mentor meetings with assistance from the DOE
Coordinating monthly programmatic communications including the monthly program newsletter
Events:
Pitch Day:
Assist with coordination selection committee and coaching meetings
Assist with building master deck
Day-of event execution assistance
Event follow up as needed and in regards to TEAMS
Assist finalists with polishing pitch decks
Chance Meetings, Trustee Circle and Noontime Knowledge:
Participation in program planning
Coordinating event locations
Day of set-up execution assistance
Follow up with statistics, surveys, and outreach
Marketing:
Manage social media channels with original content to promote Silicon Couloir programs and events
Update web site as needed
Assist with design and content for Annual Report
Track and analyze the effectiveness of our marketing efforts to continually improve our impact
Assist with Old Bill’s Fun Run campaign
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong organizational skills, must be detail-oriented
Strong communication skills: must be able to communicate well in person, on the phone and in writing to high-net worth individuals and busy founders. Must feel comfortable addressing challenges and conflict. Must feel comfortable networking frequently.
The ability to self-organize, be a self-starter and rapid assimilator of information, process management skills, be internally motivated and work well in a team environment.
Exhibit leadership characteristics, be a good listener, and also must be honest, ethical, transparent, values-oriented and positive.
Time management skills: must be able to organize oneself with a personal calendar and a plan for splitting this role and allocating time between events, marketing tasks and programmatic meetings and tasks.
Strong technical skills with Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace, Adobe, Canva, Mailchimp, Squarespace, Hootsuit, and ability to quickly learn new platforms.
Must be able to frequently attend in-person meetings in Jackson.

The position does not require any special physical abilities, although it may require some lifting and physical effort during programming from time-to-time.

Compensation:
SC will provide the following compensation:
Salary: $65K- $75K based on education and experience.
SC does not currently have its own health insurance plan. SC will reimburse major medical health insurance premiums for the employee not to exceed the base-level silver plan from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming.
SC will offer a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with a current employer match of the lesser of the annual amount contributed by the employee to the plan or 3% of annual gross wages.
