Chance Meetings is Monday, March 2nd: The Business of Saving Energy

MONTHLY CHANCE MEETINGS @ The Rose

Sometimes all you need is the right connection and a little inspiration. Well, what are you waiting for? Come find both at our free monthly networking event. You never know...

Theme: The Business of Saving Energy

Businesses are always looking for places to cut costs and improve efficiency.  One simple and often overlooked area of is energy usage. But don’t worry, you don’t have to invest thousands in solar panels to achieve results.  There are simple, quick, and practical steps you can take to start saving on your power bill immediately.

At our March 2nd Chance Meetings Phil Cameron of Energy Conservation Works (ECW) will walk you through those steps and offer resources and examples that both increase your bottom line and reduce your carbon footprint. We at Silicon Couloir are proud to promote triple bottom line companies: people, profit, planet.  Come learn how you can be part of the solution.

ECW helps homeowners, business owners, and agency partners to identify and implement efficiency, conservation, and renewable energy projects. Marrying environmental stewardship with financial stewardship, this program will offer resident business access to numerous local resources.

ECW's Executive Director, Phil Cameron will be joined by several local business owners that have benefited from ECW and/or Lower Valley Energy support to achieve success with such projects. During the program, ECW and these local entrepreneurs will share information about:

  • Resources to assess and understand your company's energy use and emissions

  • Local, regional, and federal grants to support conservation and renewable projects

  • ECW Small Business Energy Financing

  • Utility Rebates and Incentives

  • LVE's Green Power Program

The program will conclude with Q&A, so please bring all your burning, energy questions!

Chance Meetings will be followed by an Energy Conservation Works Lunch and Learn from 12-1 on Wednesday, March 11th at The Cowork Space (140 East Broadway Suite #25). Please email Rebecca@SiliconCouloir.com to register.
