Strengthening Our Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Silicon Couloir acquires SPARK Jackson Hole

As of May 1st, 2018, Silicon Couloir acquires SPARK Jackson Hole further strengthening the roots of our entrepreneurial ecosystem in our vibrant community. Silicon Couloir has long-championed SPARK’s work. So, when the opportunity to assume ownership of the co-working space both organizations saw it as a win-win and a positive, synergistic move for local entrepreneurs.

According to Silicon Couloir Executive Director Jennifer Ford, “As a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and supporting entrepreneurs, we understand the importance of physical space. This space is a place for aspiring entrepreneurs to work on their ideas. It is a place for start-ups to work with low overhead costs and work with vendors like graphic designers, lawyers, coders, developers and more. It is place to exchange ideas with like-minded, ambitious individuals and organizations. SPARK also creates a home for Silicon Couloir. We can better connect and support entrepreneurs with a physical space in addition to our monthly Chance Meetings, Teton Entrepreneurs and Mentor Service (TEAMS), Pitch Day and Angel Group.”

Silicon Couloir is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that aligns entrepreneurship with community vision to promote a diverse economy and a healthy environment for current and future generations. Spark Jackson Hole is a successful co-working space located just off the town square in Jackson, WY, formerly operated by Center of Innovation, LLC. As part of the agreement, Silicon Couloir will continue to operate the coworking office and integrate the existing base of members into their entrepreneur community in the Tetons.

Spark JH was founded in 2014 by Jeremy Hopple, Megan Beck , Jim Fini, and Bradley Krugh. In the intervening years, Spark has become a home base for entrepreneurs and creatives to come together to work, collaborate and learn. The organization has grown to over forty members making it one of the most successful co-working spaces in the intermountain region. “When we first envisioned a co-working space we aimed to bring together entrepreneurs and independent workers from the Teton Region.  We have developed a community of entrepreneurial people at Spark JH and believe Silicon Couloir can take the co-work community to the next level with their entrepreneur focused programs and events.” said Spark JH co-founder Bradley Krugh.

SPARK co-founders Megan Beck, Jeremy Hopple and Bradley Krugh will stay on as members and ensure that current members enjoy all the benefits they have come to know over the years. Silicon Couloir aims to be a steward of this special gathering place for entrepreneurs.
