Financing Your Venture: Options and Opportunities
Access to capital is often reported as the number one challenge facing business owners. We understand. The topic of our March Chance Meeting is access to capital. We will have a panel of representatives from both private and public funding organizations to discuss various options and opportunities for raising capital.
Gordon Finnegan, Silicon Couloir Board Member and Chair of the Angel Group selection team will discuss the purpose of the group and what traits the team considers when businesses apply to present to Angel Group.
Michael Fry, Rocky Mountain Bank representative, will discuss traditional lending for ventures.
Waldo Smith of the Wyoming Women’s Business Center (WWBC) will share information about WWBC’s microloan and individual saving account programs, which are both excellent options for Wyoming residents.
Rounding out our panel will be Vivian Georgalas, Entrepreneurial Services Coordinator at the Wyoming Business Council (WBC). You may have heard that the WBC has been awarding grants to Wyoming entrepreneurs through the Kickstart Program. Vivian will provide details about how the program works and how you can apply.
FREE & open to all! We believe that great things don’t happen in a vacuum, and we encourage everyone to venture out to network once a month at Chance Meetings. This is an informative, casual, fun networking event that takes place the first Monday of every month from 5 – 7pm at The Rose (50 W Broadway Ave in Jackson). Have an idea? Have a question? Experience to share? Looking for like-minded people? We average 65 – 85 attendees, with new faces in the audience each month. Content ranges from panel discussions to speed networking. Everyone is welcome. Show up, bring ideas, ask questions!
